FAVRE BULLE

W.W. I - FRENCH MILITARY AIRCRAFT CLOCK

All I know about this watch is due to its dial, Favre Bulle of the French aviation. There are few information about the airplanes of the First World War.

Photo machines were very limited, its lens can´t take pictures of aircraft nterors, there were no flight manuals and almost no flight instruments except speed indicator, altimeter, tachometer, and the clock, and they were neither placed together nor always in front.

It was probably built around 1915 and is composed by a pocket watch adapted to an 8 centimeter aluminum case with 4 screw holes that fixed it anywhere in the cabin.

The movement has a small barrel with provide power for one day, 15 jewels, and is marked DOXA.

It has two more marks, we can see them in the last pictures, an arrow going through an apple, and a cross with a number.
